Frequently Asked Questions
-
How long will it take for my grant request to be reviewed?
- After we receive your fully completed grant proposal it will be reviewed at the next scheduled Contributions Review Committee Meeting.
-
May I call or e-mail you during the review period to check on the status of our grant proposal?
- We ask that you call or e-mail only if more than 60 days have passed since you sent your proposal.
-
Are there any deadlines for submitting grant proposals?
- No. We accept applications throughout the year, but only review them at our regularly scheduled Contribution Review Committee meetings.
-
What is the amount of your average contribution?
- Our average contribution ranges between $2,000 and $10,000. We take into consideration the number of individuals served by applying organizations, and, occasionally make larger gifts.
-
Can someone from Hilton Hotels Corporation make a site visit to our organization prior to the Contributions Review Committee Meeting?
- Whenever possible, we welcome the opportunity to visit organizations. However, due to the volume of requests it is not always possible to visit before the Committee meets. However, we do make every effort to visit after an organization has been funded as well.
-
Can I call and discuss my idea with you to determine if we have a chance of being funded before I submit the grant proposal?
- Given the large number of requests that we receive, we are not able to discuss potential funding. Our Corporate Contributions Guidelines and Application are comprehensive. Therefore we request that you review it carefully to determine if your organization or request falls within our funding perimeters. If so, we invite you to submit a complete proposal.

- Hilton receives far more requests from worthy organizations than we can support; however, you are welcome to re-apply during the following year.
